The region of La Noguera has a long history, as evidenced by its rich archaeological heritage. The presence of the Montsec mountain range explains the reasons. Its history can also be traced through its castles and its fortresses, present in many towns of the region. We must also highlight its important religious heritage, the result of all these centuries of history. The summary of all these times is reflected in the various festivals and traditions of the region.
Religious tourism
In Cubells we can visit a large group of churches of different styles and periods.
Romanesque
Throughout La Noguera region you will find a lot of Romanesque churches (Santa Maria de Palau, Palou, Sant Girvés ...). You can visit a lot of charming villages.
Route of the castles
Runs through several towns of La Noguera and La Segarra (Montsonís, Florejachs, Montclar, the Sitges…).
Starlight Tourism Destination
Cubells enters the zone of excellent qualities for the contemplation of the sky and the accomplishment of tourist activities related to this resource.
Climbing Very close, at the Mania Mountain Range, you will find a wide variety of routes. The town of Camarasa also has a lot of climbing routes.
Adventure sports This area is perfect for canoeing and other adventure sports like rafting. Practising these sports, besides, you can also enjoy different and exciting sceneries from the river basin. The lake of Sant Llorenç and the Reservoir of Camarasa allow us to perform these activities.
Enduro and four-wheel driving The Montsec region and its surroundings are ideal for the practice of these motor sport.
Ski The ski resorts of Andorra, Port del Comte and Pallars Sobirà are approximately at one hour driving.
Certainly, this is another of the strong points of our region. Here your palate will enjoy mostly the wines and the "cuisine of the honey". Our cuisine, of an excellent quality, is based on natural products and raw materials of the area. You can enjoy it at several establishments within minutes of the house.
